Terry Doran is a fellow who was sort of in the background in the Beatles story for a long time. He was friends with Brian Epstein and later became George's personal assistant. You can see him in this photo with George. He has been said to have been a difficult man to deal with and he seemed to dislike Beatle fans.

Hi Sara! That´s not Terry, it´s Alan, Ringo´s driver.
ReplyDeleteoops....he sure looked like Terry from the other photos I have seen of him. Oh well...bit player in the Beatles life anyhow.
ReplyDeleteTerry Doran actually ran Apple publishing followed by Apple records in its first carnation.
ReplyDeleteGoogle the band Focal Point who were the first band signed to Apple and there is some info on him.
He was actually very well liked in music circles of the 60s.
Am trying to track down Terry Doran but have no idea where he would be or whether he is still with us or not. Any leads much appreciated.

According to Patti B Terry became the rep for Saab cars in west london. I do have a number for him somewhere. I knew Terry when he worked for George. Really nice fella,
DeleteHi Steve! I got your email today but hadn't responded yet. I do not have much information on Terry, but maybe someone here does. I do know that he was still working for George in 1979 at Friar Park.
ReplyDeleteTerry Doran was a car salesman at Saab Piccadilly, London in the late 1980's
