Heritage Auctions

The Heritage Fall Auction is currently going on. They have a few interesting items but what caught my eye the most was the items that belonged to Susan Sky. Susan worked for the NYC Beatles fan club and has an amazing story about her time there! She got to meet the Beatles in 1965 (where John cheated in a Scrabble game! LOL!) and again in '66. She is auctioning off her photographs, autographs and other memorabilia. She also wrote up a very charming story about her time working at the Beatles fan club. What a fun job that must have been!

  1. Wow. Well, the first Christmas card has Beatles autographs done by Neil Aspinall ... and the second Christmas card has Beatles signatures done by a secretary! Thankfully, the Brian Esptein card was written by Brian! That one's real. But the two Beatles signature sets? No good. I'm shocked that Heritage hasn't learned the difference between genuine signatures and fakes by now! Shame on them! Mark in Dallas

  2. I figured they were most likely fakes because the beginning bid seemed low for a full set of Beatles autographs (I think it was $250). However....I still think it is a neat story and the photographs are awesome. Even if her autographs aren't true, her photos and memories are!

  3. I thought the autographs looked fake too, Mark. But the photos are neat!
